I wonder what he did for her to be stalking him like that. It was almost like she knew this guy was up to no good and it took her less than half-a-second to start chasing him as soon as he took off with the tool box.

It's a toolbox. Not worth risking your life over.
She probably broke policy.

Tool set prices seem to be at an all time high.
Was just looking at a 16 Drawer Tool Chest/rolling Cabinet set. They wanted close to $750.

Regardless of whether or not she broke policy, it will still be covered under workers comp. If you break lock out policy and your arm gets cut off, then the company is still required to cover your injuries.

She will definitely get disciplined for chasing him out of the store.

That's cheap, if it's made worth a damn. A snap-on box can run you about $5500, depending on the size. Some are a lot more that that.

She looked more like store security rather than a regular store employee. I'm mean she ran down a cephlapoid on foot, boss. Give her some credit.

She was asset protection and will likely be fired for breaking apprehension policy. It's sucks that thieving scum get away and when are caught, get a slap on the wrist.

My BIL worked at Lowes for a while. Said that the company policy was to never chase down a thief, in fact, he said they would not even call the police most of the time. If someone walked out the store with something they didn't pay for, their policy was to let it go.
2% of all inventory is stolen each year.
But he's an idiot, so he might have been lying. He does that a lot.

She ain't right. Judging by the car she was trying to stop, the tool box had to be under a hundred bucks. Get a license plate and call the cops.

Probably gonna be fired. Company prohibits it.
4 fired for pursuing shoplifter

You work retail long enough and you can spot a lot of thieves pretty easy, he way they stand around, look at things, act if you talk to them, etc. I worked retail for four years in college, still see people in stores that look like their up to no good.

Hope she doesn't like that job because she just lost it.
