That's funny that in most other threads regarding race everyone is rushing to a post-racial United States with comments like "I don't see race" or "this isn't about race." But the interracial couples threads always betray that bigotry that some try so hard to hide. It's pretty funny, they can't help themselves.

I got a kick out of Rouge mentioning the Deep South operates under some different set of rules.

are you seriously questioning the relative natures of progressiveness between the pacific northwest, the northeast, and the deep south?

of course. people can reach great levels of personal and professional success from any background or community

my point is that biracial children have additional challenges that have to be overcome to reach those goals.

no the frick they don't. Only time they have to overcome racial challenges is when stupid people like you create the challenge.

Katie Holmes did not hold up well at all.

I've always heard that Foxx is one of the most racist people in Hollywood. I guess that doesn't apply when it comes to smashing white womenz.

He is. I heard and saw him in NOLA. He sure didn't like white folk that night.

To be perfectly honest, I think it boils down to culture more than anything.

If I were a betting man, I'd say that even your country boys would probably prefer a dark skinned country girl who liked similar things over a while girl who is completely ghetto.

It really is an interesting phenomenon with variables for days.

I think he's speaking more about your average biracial child. Which just like anything else has to do with your social-economic level. I have a number of biracial family members who have had people ask them "What are you? or What is your families background". But that was because they were curious. Very rarely have they ever mentioned a hostile situation where they felt endanger of any kind.

Again, it's post like this that need to be bookmarked for when the racial threads get way out of hand.

I bet you wouldn't have the balls to actually say this to anyone's face. But you feel e-tough enough to call someone lesser of a person because they dated someone outside of their own race.

Eat a gun.

I have a lot of biracial cousins black/japanese, black/white and black/hispanic. They all are doing well. Hell one of my cousins is only 13 and is pulling in some grade A puss. His sister's friends are always trying to stay over their house to get to him

Even the sorority girls and Tigerettes that LSU black athletes plowed through over the years? The same ones that are married to some of you white guys today

It appears he is angry with white people from his RadarOnline interview:

LINK

“As black folks we’re always sensitive,” Foxx said. “As a black person it’s always racial. I come into this place to do a photo shoot and they got Ritz crackers and cheese — I’ll be like, ain’t this a b*tch. Y’all didn’t know black people was coming. What’s with all this white sh*t? By the same token, if there is fried chicken and watermelon I’ll say ain’t this a b*tch? So, no matter what we do as black people it’s always gonna be that.”

“Every single thing in my life is built around race,” he explained. “I don’t necessarily speak it because you can’t. But the minute I leave my house, I gotta put my other jacket on and say, ‘Hey, Thomas, Julian and Greg.’ And I gotta be a certain person.”

“Because there’s certain things that we watch as black people that if we don’t agree with it, we not only turn off the movie but we turn off that person. When we feel like the character was compromised by the white establishment.”

seems a bit rough to get this mad. if you can take the BBC lines (which we all know is not nearly as true as believed) then you have to be able to take some other jokes too
