It’s a pretty wide variety here but I agree, mostly under 45 white males here too. Tents under every single overpass. They pop up like anthills, then get town down by something and rebuild across the street or one block over and in a different pattern.

Denham Springs has a Hooters but it’s not as classy as the College Dr one

I thought Birmingham was bad but panhandling is much worse here in Baton Rouge. All ages and there are also a couple of females. I wouldn’t be as upset with it if their sign said “dope sick snd need a fix” or “ need a beer”.

Lord knows I want to help those who need it genuinely, but when I see most of these panhandlers walk back and forth in the extreme heat and carry a backpack with a sign for hours it makes me wonder why they can't simply go get a job?
Answer: It's easier to play on good, caring people's pity and kindness. Those fake types make it bad on the ones who are really in need! Shame on them!
