We each have about fifty acres. Neither of us ever imagined our dogs would meet traversing our land and we’ve since rectified the situation

I disagree. Dogs are all encompassing and impact our lives both positively and negatively every day.

I rescued a boy eaten up with heartworms. Watch carefully for pulmonary embolism. With my boy, I didn’t let him go out when the sun was out (it was summer). Yes, I did have to pick up poop and pee, but he went out (about 5 feet from the door) about 3 times between sundown and sunrise. Other than that, I kept him on a nice pillow with the A/C cranked up and a fan blowing. He housetrained with no problems after and was forever grateful. Good luck!

Rufus works just fine and a fine looking hoss.
My son picked up a Heeler/Collie mix pup and called him Hank. He’s fast and agile as hell. Been fun having a young one to go along with our old gal heeler (13).

Rescues are the most satisfying. I wish more people would do it. Congrats sir. He will be one of the best dogs you ever had.

Friend of mine adopted a GD in 2010. The dog was about 2 and made it to 12 YO. It crushed he and his family when it came time. They would do it again 1000x's
Enjoy the ride bro.

You've got to pick a new name. New home, new name, new life.
