Bill Graham’s “Day on the Green “. I attended several in the late 70s and early 80s.

I made 2 during my Bay Area days. One featured Santana, Journey and The Tubes, the other The Police and The Fixx.

I was a senior in HS in 1977 and when people ask me why I think the 70's were the best...I show them this video. So much going on in that video and it represents that era. It was so much FUN then!

My favorite band of all time. I snuck out and visited the site the plane crashed by myself a few years ago.
I had a hunting lease a mile from there and didn’t know it at that time.

All those people, in spite of being hippies, look happy and not offended. Wtf happened to such peopl

Those were classic liberals who believed in things like individual liberty and the inherent good in America. What happened to them was their kids went to school and became indoctrinated in Marxist ideology.

Every hippy in that crowd voted for the policies ruining the bay area now.

I am an example of a hippie that saw the light politically and changed from my early liberal ways. But musically, nothing to change from decades past- they were the best!

I knew immediately when you said 1977 and Oakland this was about the Skynyrd concert.

I like the stoned baws at the very end of the clip.
