It is a joke. The WOD has created an entire industry of for profit prisons. It is big with plenty of cash for lobbying.

The WoD's causes more social ills than legalizing drugs.

How does it cause more harm than good? Do you think that having more druggies and dealers on the streets makes our world a better, safer place?

Do you think more people view pornography now than back in the 1950s? If so, why?

Absolutely. Without a doubt. Safer drugs, fewer dealers.

Pornography =/= heroin

One of the dumber things I've seen mentioned on this site.

It's an illustration. Easier access minus consequences equals more users. I don't know why that was so hard for you to understand.

There are serious personal consequences to heroin usage without the threat of imprisonment

You haven't learned from history. Alcohol prohibition brought increased violence and higher incarceration rates. Society was safer without banning alcohol. It's exactly the same with drugs. Any drug

Legal drugs will bring safer drugs and safer options. It will also damage the underground economy which is largely responsible for much of the violence in society.

People consume more diet drinks now than in the 50s. What does that have to do with heroin? Your heroin/porn comparison was weak.

I assume a board, much like alcohol and marijuana boards.

Legal means no more dealers

That and the porn comparison are very very weak arguments

Legal means more users. Source: human nature.

Fine. This better?

Would you agree that legalization of heroin makes it easier to access?

Who are those people again? Don't they work for the nanny government that many of you are so insistent at dissolving?

Sure. It will also be much safer.

There's a huge risk associated with it. Let me ask this, why do you think the US doesn't have more alcoholics? I mean, alcohol is everywhere. Only 7.2% of the population is estimated to have a drinking problem. Why not more?

According to whom? Who would make sure it was made "much safer"?

so we should refrain from legalizing something because it would have to be regulated?

So you trust the nanny state government to regulate the production of heroin, but you don't trust them to make laws that are profitable for the wellbeing of the populace?
