Would you rather live in Jonestown Mississippi or die in Jonestown Guyana?

I usually give towns the benefit of the doubt...but I have to say that Jonestown, MS is a damn bad little place.
Have you been there?

You are not exaggerating about Jonestown MS, is close to Clarksdale though. Clarksdale at least is better than Helena, AR

Jonestown is probably the poorest town in the Delta. It's terrible.

I have never been to Helena, but have been in in Coahoma County all week....

Will be interesting to see if anyone gets it.

Every time i drive by a house during the day with a bunch of blow up christmas decorations that are deflated, i think it looks like the scene at Jonestown, but funnier.

Not sure, but from the looks of the folks walking the streets, I would say no.

Then I'll take Jonestown, MS. Guyana has bigger mosquitos.

Oh yeah. It is a shortcut to some fine duck hunting. Poorest place I ever saw. I perversely look forward to driving through now and then.

there are a hell of a lot of small towns in the delta that are every bit as bad or even worse...Tutwieler, Tchula, Friar's Point, Parchman, etc.
I understand that Tunica/Robinsonville were actually the poorest of all until the casinos moved in...no longer poor!
