13 is too young. As rich as he is, he should’ve taken a year off, traveled around the world with her and a couple tutors, and helped her find her natural high/passion. Show her research about IQ drops for people who start so young.

Probably somewhere in the middle. I shared my first joint at 14, but it was also ditch weed rolled in to the ugliest joint you've ever seen. I wouldn't give my kids weed at 14, but I also wouldn't be naive about the world my kids live in. I know that my kids would encounter those things at that age. I'd just have a real talk with them and explain the pros and cons and hope they're smart enough to make good choices most of the time. My parents did that and I'm not a complete frick up as a person.
