Ricky is the only guilty of being too trusting in simple minded people. He didn’t have anything to do with any of this. He’s a great man who I trust and respect to this day. Yes he worked for the sheriff’s association after he retired for a few years but he’s been retired for a few years.
The connections are mostly circumstantial. The news media sensationalism drawing conclusions is more misleading than anything. They had fbi and state police involved for years and were never able to build a case against anyone. It’s super sad and terrible those girls were treated like they were but they were. Making up bs doesn’t help them.

So I work in the medical field. Around the Jennings area. I worked with a doctor whom many believe was the killer. His name was doctor Thomas Wilson. He died around the time the killings stopped. His personal plane crashed. You can Google his name and plane crash. He was known to work the ers in Crowley, Jennings, Eunice, and other hospitals.

Just commenting to say how just..Bad that documentary was. The first half was pretty OK given it was more or less explaining where/what Jennings is and the murders themselves. However, the second half was essentially the director releasing his bent up, political hate for the sheriff And using “evidence“ based on (if anything at all) Wild, contradicting statements from known drug addicts With kindergarten Levelreading skills.
I mean, come on… The majority of one episode was about a conspiracy theory regarding Charles Busta going to that horribly rundown motel, just north of Jennings to do drugs and sleep with prostitutes. I mean, that was just Cringe that he actually included that

Ignoring the obvious username associations, why do you think it was this doctor? Were people suspicious before he died?

He would make certain comments about the murders. He was a strange looking fella. We called the fbi on him. Don't know if he was ever investigated. He probably had connections with them. Seeing them in the er giving them the drugs they needed. He had every opportunity to meet them after work.

Case closed. Thanks for clearing this up.

There are so many theories surrounding these murders. Wouldn’t surprise me in any which way it unfolds if they ever do make some strong connections. Former cop, former doctor, etc. Then the outside world wonders where shows like True Detective come from, and we Louisianans just say “look all around here”.

Do you know if they did anything?
Also, do you think his plane crash was an accident?

From your article. I would be curious to see unsolved murders from the areas he practiced in.

Idk if it was an accident or not. This guy was very strange.

I looked at his picture on the link you posted. First glance at his eyes: PSYCHO.

He stood around 6'4 200 pounds. Could have easily handled a crackhead by himself.

Hmmm interesting I worked closely with the man for years and in many dealings he was what a lot of people would call “ruthless”.
Also, someone mentioned the killed CI earlier in this thread that’s something I heard a long time ago from someone I really trust with ties in the area. Ultimately it was done to protect Boustany….at least that’s what I’ve gleaned from what people have told me over the years.

Sheriff Edwards was JDP Sheriff from 1992-2012 then transitioned into Operation Director of LA Sheriff’s Association from 2012-2022.

He's wearing serial killer glasses (its the tinted lenses). I gasped when I saw his picture. Very creepy. Sort of a mix between a polgyamist cult leader in the Utah desert and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
