Yeah

Drove around earlier some heavy standing water on Landsbury and some on hackberry and Hillsbury.

Hope it goes down soon. What street you on? I grew up with kids in JT. I lived in Westminster but spent many summer days at the JT park.

Cal near the elementary school is high and dry. Claycut bayou near Cal is still basically at road level. The standing water down some of the side streets near cal/claycut bayou have definitely receded some though.

Throughout the Claycut Bayou backflow event, based on the comments in this thread and others, the maximum impact was some street flooding? And that was restricted to the first few streets off of Jefferson Hwy, nearest the bayou? No water entered any homes on any of the flooded streets mentioned?

This forum has been off the charts helpful. The info has been incredibly reliable. The expertise and generosity of its contributors, including WeatherUnderground regulars, has been exemplary and is a story within the Flood of 2016 Story! God bless you all. I am immensely grateful.

I didnt go down landsbury (the first street perpendicular to Cal after you cross the bayou bridge) so i dont want to say for sure. But i looked down it and it looked to me to mostly just be a flooded street. No water in the houses.

I did go down Danbury (the next street perpendicular to Cal) and i can say pretty confidently the water didnt reach the houses because i rode by it yesterday and the water wasnt up to the houses and when i rode by this morning the water had gone down.

No water in homes. Landsbury was the worst but didn't reach the houses. Receding a good bit. Still not out of the woods, but so far so good.
