Dude is just trying to cash some checks without his NFL income. That being said, he is overdoing it.

He doesn't know. Just another poli type that uses culture war terms out of context. Terrible poster.

Every so often, I check back in on this thread to see if OP has even made an attempt to explain how this commercial is gaslighting. I leave disappointed every time

dgaf about his gaslighting or anything he says but he is oversaturating the screen. every nfl game he is there, commercial break he is there, halftime he somehow makes his way into the booth, not really adding anything other than his presence. like a work acquaintance pretending to be a friend that won't leave your house after the party. go home.

Clearly you haven’t seen the commercial

I had not seen it, but now that I have...

I'd say it's more patronizing than gaslighting.

Hurr durr football beer hurr durr kinda vibes but it's a Bdub commercial so what do you expect

Gaslighting

quote:

a form of psychological abuse or manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind. Typically, gaslighters are seeking to gain power and control over the other person, by distorting reality and forcing them to question their own judgment and intuition.

Considering I’m flirting with middle age, I’m not sure that lesson is necessary at this point
