Give Zote mexican laundry soap a try. I find it sticks on the hook better. Will hold up on a limb line for two nights if nothing grabs it the first.

Old lady that lived near me growing up used to carve angels for Christmas every year out of Ivory soap. She would give them away as gifts.

was coming to post this, back in the 60’s, gramps would take me to the Mississippi River at the Plaquemine locks and we’d catfish with Ivory. Those river cats loved it…
