There are summer track programs.

Imo it's not a good idea unless just doing sprints. Jumps, throwing.

Distance running isnt a good idea for little kids.
In the south, distance kids often do summer track, which is retarded for them. They race way, way too much. It's a big part why southern distance runners suck.

Little kids best playing soccer, basketball etc. Maybe a fun run (half mile or mile) here and there.

Tell this to the white kid's cucked dad who cares more about virtue signaling to the world what a great forgiving "Christian" he is than he does about the loss of his son.

Most of the time you don't have more than a pair of running shoes and a t-shirt in a track bag. Maybe some snacks and a few dollars.

What?

When I ran track 20 years ago we had phones, wallets, vehicle keys etc. in our bags.

Nowadays I imagine AirPods/Headphones, laptops, tablets and any other electronic item you can think of were in there.

Stop trying to downplay this. The kid was likely there to steal if given the opportunity and murdered someone when they confronted him.
