I don't care about these individual people one bit. I wish them nothing but the best.

What I do care about is that this will lead to the further erosion of traditional values. Maybe I'm just an ignorant hick, but I happen to think the traditional family unit is very important, and I think the more our society sanctions this kind of alternative lifestyle the worse off everyone is going to be.

Because these kids become dysfunctional adults, who we all have to deal with eventually (see crime rate for kids in single parent homes)

He's got three parents, so he should be less likely to live a life of crime.

Well, you would be wrong about that, too. Kids from broken homes, sometimes end up with 4+ parents. And studies say they are more likely to be a drain on govt resources, than those from the traditional male/female 2-parent family
