I have to attend a wedding at 5:00 on Saturday. You can bet your arse I'll have WatchEspn up on my phone if we are still at the wedding when the game kicks off.

Yup... I’ll be attending a wedding Saturday myself. At least the fine folks opted for an open bar.

It makes no sense for the bride either.
My wife and I had an 18 month engagement to avoid football season. What bride wants half the room staring at their phones keeping up with scores all night?

Most couple showers I attended in the fall had the game(s) going on

What sort of spineless deviant would do such a thing?
Hang in there, S.

Thanks Paul. If you'll be at the club early I'll treat you to a watercress sandwich and a yoo-hoo and/or topo chico.

That sounds splendid. Have you tried the rare-roasted partridge breast in a raspberry coulis with a sorrel timbale,
squid ravioli in a lemon-grass broth with goat cheese profiteroles? If you haven’t, I highly recommend them to everyone at the club.

The only way this would be ok is if they have beer and the game on a big screen. Any woman who disagrees is not worth getting hitched to.
To be fair, they rented out a brewery with TVs so that’s good enough. But still, I’d like to watch the game uninterrupted by nonsense. Aka, either in the stadium or at the house.

Oh my, that sounds scrumptious. I'll be sure to tell the lads. The braised lamb shank over lemon zested wild rice is always a treat.
