I don't know about that. It just reminds me that eating at a restaurant is usually tastier and a lot less effort. And in that analogy "restaurants" seem like whores.

Welcome to the club. I'm just fricking around in this thread but if you're some random guy that's routinely outcooking the chef's at the places you eat, you're either (A) a supremely gifted home cook, or (B) eating at shitty places.
I'm an OK cook but I find no shame in being out cooked by good chefs.

Yeah exactly.
Sorry you suck at cooking and your sister/wife in Alabama likes eating at the local sausage shop. Cooking is all about patience and technique. If you want the quick easy way out, hit up a restaurant. But you don't pay a restaurant for rewarding feelings of home and comfort. You pay a restaurant so you can leave with no responsibility and immediate gratification that fades just as quickly.
