I couldn’t agree more, this is the fricked up world we live in where desecration of a grave is ok.

In the last verse of Genesis it says that Joseph died and was buried in a coffin in Egypt. From that, it is extrapolated that Christians should be buried in the ground.

Now, because I am that guy, I asked Pastor about all this, and he said yes, this is literally the Genesis of why we do this. But the modern thought is that also we do this to preserve the dignity of the body God gave us, and, more importantly under the dogma, to have the physical body required for resurrection. Fair enough, no one really knows until we get there.

That said, definitely thinking about the $15k or so to have my cremated remains jacked out into space so I can possibly have my neurosis passed on to anther race. I mean, they knew the risks ....
