Yep, I have trouble hitting things past 20 feet with mine. That's why I load it with the shotgun shells.

Not sure why you’re getting so many downvotes. Apparently people don’t understand the NFA laws and how it applies differently to smoothbore firearms vs rifled barrel firearms.
This is why when Taurus tried to make “the judge” in 28 gauge it was determined to be illegal as a title 1 firearm. It couldn’t be classified as a “pistol” even though it had a rifled barrel because it had a barrel diameter greater than .50 caliber. And it couldn’t be be sold as a “shotgun because the barrel was less than 18 inches.
None of this applies to the OP though because it’s a muzzleloader.
