A lot of assumptions in this thread.

The crazy thing is there is not much a teacher can do about that.
Sit down. No. Sit down or I will call your Mom. Go ahead. Sit down or I will call the principal. He can't touch me. Sit down or you will be suspended. Hell yea!!
You can't paddle them. You can't expel them because that will drop the graduation rate and then the principal and superintendent will get fired by the board.

They were, no question about it. I just think she should have taken the high road.
What's the high road in this situation?
She tried to ignore them. She looked down at her book. They still chose to frick with her.
That girl was standing over her dancing.
The high road was knocking her down and NOT stomping her teeth out.

She's a teenage, white superhero.

You're right. She did show a lot of restraint. But if the video had never been made, the black girls could have made up whatever story they wanted. Meanwhile, the white kid unfairly gets in trouble for it.

Lots of assumptions in here
Group of youths dancing on desks antagonizing one specific student . One(Pink pants girl)out of this group gets knocked on her arse by victim. Let's see what will happen next a) remaining group stays on desk dancing b) hooded girl rolls out saying frick you while group remains dancing on desk c) Group see group leader knocked on her arse and commenced to whoop hooded girl's arse for lashing out at supposed leader in pink pants.
My theory and assumptions lead me to choose c. Final answer

Too many possibilities to choose from and too little information to make a reasonable choice.

Makes me wonder where is remaining video. It's out there.

She didn't handle that too well, but I have no idea what happened before the video to start all of that.

A violent response to a non-violent action.
On first glance, I thought the same thing. On closer inspection, it seems as if Pink Pants steps on The Hooded One's wrist. While it does appear to be quite a forceful trip/push, it could have been not much more than a reflexive "ouch. Get off my arm" flailing motion. The ones dancing and clapping are making a huge scene that doesn't need to be made. The one in the hood showed a heck of a lot of restraint until physically provoked (even if on accident, she doesn't appear to brace up or move when the other girl is coming on to her desk, only after she steps on her). Even still, it wasn't necessarily handled well by her- the other girl could have been very seriously hurt.
It's hard to fault what could have been just her innate attempt to not have her arm broken (and by all means, if I'm wrong or she says anything to suggest it was a malicious act, she should absolutely be punished), but the real shame is that this situation existed in the first place with her having no safe place to sit and do work/nothing.

Everyone knows not to mess with black chicks especially hood rats

If that is the actual picture of hooded girl everyone of these kids in that classroom should be expelled and given jail time. Maybe this is why there is no more video out there. School will be sued and so will parent of alleged attackers.

I was disappointed. Glad he stood up and took her arse out, but was hoping he'd wreck shite on the whole fricking room.
Posted on 5/17/15 at 11:20 am to Hopeful Doc
You are over-thinking this. If someone puts any part of themselves within six inches of my face, pushing them away is not an overreaction.
Posted on 5/17/15 at 11:22 am to FLBooGoTigs1
Every one of the kids should be expelled and given jail time? Why do you keep saying ridiculous things? How would you know that they all participated in an assault?
Posted on 5/17/15 at 11:23 am to Aux Arc
Yep.
They invaded her personal space.
