Got this random message on another site...

quote:

Hello friend am Gibson, Am an American citizen, but I worked with shell petroleum company, In majnoon oil filed in IRAQ, just here looking for a friend that I can trust,Because I have a business proposal, that'll be of a great benefit to the both of us.

quote:

What's up? What do you have mind?

quote:

The reason am contacting you. Is because I have $6.5 Million US dollars that I successfully moved out from Iraq. I need a good partner, someone I can trust. It is oil business money we did with Iraqi citizens worth 45 million US dollars, but the 6.5 million us dollars stated is my share on the business and its legal. I have successfully moved the funds out of Iraq as family valuables with the help of G4S SECURITY COMPANY through their branch in Middle East. The most important thing is ''' Can I Trust You? Immediately these funds get to you, you take your 50% out and keep my own 50%. Your own part of this deal is to find a safe place where my part of the funds will be until i am back from Iraq and meet with you for discussions on how I can investment my own part, but I have more interest on real estate or any other profitable investment. But the whole process is simple.

quote:

That sounds great. Though I'll be taking most of the risk and performing the most work. I'll have to use and pay my foreign contacts to avoid suspicion. I'm thinking your should give me 60% and some head. It can be sloppy, though that's not a requirement.

I have Swiss and Nigerian contacts that are great and keeping things discreet. But since they're the best, they aren't cheap. Which is why I think 60% is fair.

All said and done, I may only get 30% of the total amount. That's why I think getting some head is fair. Although if you have TMJ issues, I'd be okay if you wanted to Greek. The balls are in your court.

Still waiting to hear back on the counter offer and if he has TMJ.

I usually ask them to call me so I know it's legit and give them *my* number which happens to be the FBI number

Judging by his command of the English language, he's not going to understand half of that.

It amazes me that anyone can fall for this shite. I mean, according to the story his main concern is finding someone he can trust, and looking for them by sending random emails to strangers.

I once had to sit a guy down at work and explain to him he was being scammed. Some Nigerian was posing as an attractive girl that was trying to get into the country, but having problems. He had already sent the scammer $1200 before he told me about it. He was just so caught up with the picture of the hot chick the scammer was claiming to be.

Look up London Based Comedian, James Veitch. His scammer videos are hilarious. He does TedTalks and such. Find him on youtube and check out the longer versions. This goes for everyone reading this.

Report back with how hard you laughed.
