Depends what you want. BSL is a super cool little town that really comes alive on the second Saturday thing every month. Outside of that, the shops on Main and restaurants are the top attractions. The beach is about the same all the way down the MS coast, depending on wind and weather though.
BSL has an Old Towne portion that I use synonymous with the BSL, but it has other seedier parts as well. Bars are better here I would say, restaurants are better here I would say, casinos aren't as good by a long shot I don't think. You can bike around BSL and hit breakfast joints, coffee shops, art galleries, beer bars, fine dining...tons of little antique stores and what not. I'd probably try to stay at the new B&B on the beach if you're not going to rent a house on vrbo. You can rent bikes and paddleboards/kayaks right on Main street.

It's more of hotel/condo looking thing with a neat front house...but it's brand new and I've never been.
I don't venture East much. This weekend?

Pass Christian is the only stop you need to make on the Mississippi coast.
Only if you're interested in empty lots and old people, Bay St. Louis is fun but if you're looking for something exciting continue down to gulfport or ocean springs

What about Pascagoula?
Keep driving till you hit Mobile. It's a dirty blue collar town. Or you could drive up to Moss Point, buy some drugs and try not to get shot.

Or maybe keep going on past Gulfport/Biloxi also.

I wouldn't vacation in either one of those. Tons of folks have very nice vacation homes in BSL though.

I live off the Jourdan river in BSL and love it. Good restaurants/bars, casinos, beach, golf etc
If you have a boat you can fish or cruise the Jourdan
If not and you want to fish go to the Shore Thing Charters website
BSL is loaded with vacation homes from LA people. 90% of my block is from NOLA area.

Can you catch Marlin off the coast of BSL?

Love the bayou blue room at silver slipper. Terrible casino awesome restaurant. Never packed and on Saturdays they used to have a lady playing a mandelin. Gt a seat by the windows and watch the boats come and go. Food has always been fantastic.

Hell ya you can, Biloxi has a few bigass sailfish tournaments. Most offshore guys run south to LA waters. I would drive to Venice and charter from there before driving to BSL to go offshore but if you are already here you can def hit blue water

It's a neat little place trying to come back after the oil spill and hurricanes which impacted that area hard years ago. I spent quite a bit of time driving around seeing abandoned houses, etc. The downtown area had nice quaint stores and eateries. I remember seeing pictures of the collapsed bay bridge on US 90 since repaired.
