She is not the only BR judge to use these tactics for their friends. She must have took it too far. Most judges will just "strongly suggest" you use so and so company because they are a "trusted agent of their court."

I think Scott McKay had a good take on what's going on here. Erwin is a white judge and Gravy and company are desperate for more black judges. They will do whatever they have to to get more blacks on the criminal bench. Trudy is a black judge, nothing will ever happen to her. Despite the fact that nobody can verify if he said anything and Judge hasn't commented, it doesn't really matter. He's done.

There's an interesting dichotomy at play when you live in a city where a Black woman can be elected mayor and another Black woman can be subjected to racially abusive language by an elected official. Where white conservatives will remind you that Mike Erwin is a Democrat as if Democratic white folks have never placed burning crosses on Black folks lawn. Where a Black woman mayor champions police reform and the family of a highly publicize victim of state violence awaits the decision of a DOJ headed by a Jeff Sessions. Wild times in BR.
No mention at all about the previous DOJ not coming out with a verdict

I thought the same thing at first, but the fact that Sammy's banned him from going there made me think there is a better chance he did what he is accused of doing, but either way.. It seems to be her word against his.

I know Trudy is a POS. I've never heard of Erwin but he could be just as bad as she is.
