One of the biggest misconceptions is those who don’t like wrestling think that those who do like wrestling think it’s real fighting.
I don’t try and explain to people why I do like it, and I couldn’t care less why someone doesn’t.
There are some people in this thread that still think Owen Hart’s death was scripted and that’s laughable to me.

I just say watch what you want and leave others alone who watch things that you dont. I dont know why ppl in here feel the need to race to every wrestling thread just to scream its fake just so they can go watch their fake show 2 min later. It's all entertainment.

I remember once WWE was doing a tribute to JBL and they brought out a big oil painting of him, and serenaded him with a string quartet. Lo and behold, some chumps storm the ring, smash the painting, and start hitting the musicians with their own instruments!
I just felt really sorry for JBL and also for Vince McMahon, the way the nice little event he had planned went south so badly. Some people just have no class, I guess.

I really think that those laughing at wrestling fans in these threads believe that the fans think it’s real. I’ve been a wrestling fan my whole life and I’ve never met one person over the age of 5 who thought the scripted presentations we see on TV or in an arena are legitimate athletic competitions.
It’s a show. Just like any other television or stage production. And everyone who likes it, knows it. What adult gives a shite what other adults like for their entertainment (non-criminal of course)?

You can’t assume everything is staged.
The talent acknowledges that the business is predetermined and entertainment. They will speak out now when something isn’t planned
