I don't know about any of that bullshite, but it is true that every civilization across the globe has eventually been torn down by other humans. It's what Robert Howard was trying to tell us with Conan the Barbarian. The unwashed hordes will always tear down the shining cities.
Plus, we seem to have a self-destructive mechanism baked into our genetics. It's as though (or is in fact) we think we deserve to be destroyed, or at least severely decimated. Just think about all of the movies, TV shows and books set centuries in the future. The majority of them seem to presume that there will have been a great, final world war before whatever future exists in the story.

Why the hate? I saw what the word says. If you look up the first 2 nations who committed a whoredom against God. It was Israel and her sister Judah. They fell from grace after going out whoring with other Gods but still called themselves his chosen people. We claim to be a Christian nation. But now their is a new God. Money being the primary but many more. We lack a moral compass. So since we still consider ourselves blessed. Our nation has turned from God. Babylon was the most powerful nation during that time. Who is it now? Who makes the merchants who trade by ships in the sea rich rich because of her costliness. What country has slaughter over 60 million of it's on babies? Don't get me started. Our nation has committed a whoredom against God because he was married to us and we have allowed out government to be overthrown.

No one is saying it has never been done in another denomination or religion. If you do not think that it is a disproportionately huge problem in the catholic church, then you are a fool.
