In today's world no place is safe.
I do think many of the new New Orleans residence have a false sense of security. I don't think they understand how dangerous it can be.

This... Idt that any area with such a high concentration of ppl can be completely safe. safer than ghetto areas, ofcoure but you don't need a pass to walk the streets of the wealthy areas of a city. Bottom line is ppl are fricking nuts and you've got to have your guard up in any public area.

My girlfriend moved recently by Martin's Wine Cellar, which isn't too bad of a spot. However, not too far from there is straight hood yet I see little white girls walking their dogs and such at night. I do not get it. I think a lot of transplants come from big northern and west coast cities where crime is pretty much contained to a few neighborhoods. They don't get how dangerous the next block can be.
