Is the flu or a bug going around again?

Son (7) was sick this morning and throughout the day. Was fine all weekend and hasn't ate anything questionable.
Been hanging with him all day, but just saw on facebook a few others are getting sick/were sick today out of nowhere.

Son has been sick a few times this winter, but today has been hell on him.
He woke everyone up by yacking in the bathroom at 6am.
Stayed home with him, and man, every hour kid has been getting sick.
He seems to go back to his normal self and then it hits him again.

This year's flu has just peaked. While the worst is over, it will continue through the school year because it peaked so late.

Everyone in my house tested positive last week, except myself.
And I was the only one not to take a flu shot. Obviously anecdotal, but it was nice joking with the wife about that
