Yes it’s a scam. But mostly in the sense that it is far too expensive for what it is. It won’t cut down on the time it actually takes to learn a new language if you are dedicated
Also, people have different learning styles. To say one style is the best for every person is just kind of silly

Do you people know what scam means?
I don't think you do.

Tried to learn Russian a decade ago
Going at it very aggressively now
Duolingo
Babel
Living language
Have tried Rosetta Stone for Spanish and French. It isn’t bad. It isn’t great. Far better products for better price points out there.
It takes work though. It really does.

Yes. Do you understand hyperbole, or do you just have trouble letting go of trivial remarks on internet message boards?
To everyone else, thank you for the feedback. Particularly those of you who pointed out that it’s hard work. My wife and I would like to become partially fluent in French. Enough to go back there in a couple of years and be able to communicate.
I respect that everyone over there knows English well enough to communicate with us. We want to challenge ourselves with learning their language, and be able to visit more areas other than Paris on our own.

I worked in Italy so I got the Italian version Rosetta Stone. It absolutely helped me. But it really helps having someone to practice with
Going to Italy in May, so I'm trying Italian on Rosetta Stone right now. It seems helpful, when I actually sit down and use it. I have been inconsistent to say the least in taking the time to really try
