Some of it looks great. Some of it looks cheap.

Does it age well?

Is it too trashy for a bonus room?

The advantage (if it is floating) is you can change it out easily. LVP is being placed in high end homes. Regardless of how it is being pushed, nothing beats solid wood floors. I have changed my opinion tho. LVP is better than engineered hardwoods, tho.

One must ask ones self, what will the bonus room be used for?

For secks...white

For floors, I prefer darker multi tones.

LVP is the way to go. Waterproof, goes in comparatively easy and looks great

Yeah...we put that in one of our bathrooms and it looks pretty good.
Just not yet sure how it will age.

I put engineered in my new home. The glue is a pain to deal with. Now my wife doesn't like the color and I am stuck between paying out my arse to remove or sell the home. My flooring guy told me while you can technically refinish engineered one time, he says it can be hit or miss on the final look.

You used glue?
All of it I’ve seen is floating.

You could definitely use floating over existing and avoid selling your house.

You will be visited by a man that looks like this in 3.2. O wait he’s here already and he’s probably there already...

We just put down luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring in our home. Home is on a slab and I hated the engineered floors we had. I was reluctant to go with the LVP, but blessed it after I did some research.

So far, it looks great and definitely appears to be wood. It has a bit of a softer feel on the bare feet which feels great, but also very noticeable that it's not wood.

We have not tested the water resistance of it yet, but with 2 boys and 2 dogs, that time is coming.
