Country girl in 2018 = fat, tatted, probably has multiple kids by a few men, and no education, says she wants a "real man" who will be loyal to her

City girl in 2018 = vegan, thin, yoga participant, probably snobby, highly educated, less likely to have kids

The world female balance is out of whack, which is why you settle for a suburb woman who was raised in church and had morals but isnt beating you over the head with a bible.

Or you could go with the socially prominent family who doesnt have much money any more. My SO's ancestors owned Avent plantation and also founded the bank that is now Bancorp South. After several generations there's not much left. She does have a nice chunk of Bancorp stock, but thats about it.

I married a girl in the middle, but had back to back serious relationships with someone that came from a ton of money (She was named after her grandmother, who shared the name of a large multimillion dollar company in the Mississippi Delta), and I also dated someone who grew up barely making it.

Your sentiments are spot on - the girl that came from nothing was happy just hanging out. The rich girl caused me some credit card debt in college just keeping up. The latter was funner, and I learned what I didnt want in life very quickly. But although the poorer girl was happier and I enjoyed my time with her - there were a lot of emotional/family issues that I wouldn't have wanted to deal with in marriage.

Assuming you get no money from the girls family, which would be a better wife?

Rich girl. If you fall on hard times you are guaranteed to be okay. Just don’t get a divorce.

My wife came from a very poor family. Mom basically raised her with her grandfather on her own. Her work ethic is unbelievable. She's pretty and smart and absolutely worked her arse off in school and in life to get where she is. And she's such a great person.

I smiled reading that. Sweet of you to say such a nice thing about your wife.

Does she post here?
