We have a declawed cat and he is 100% healthy, runs around all the time, uses the litter box, and everything else just like every other cat I've seen. Y'all are seriously ok with chopping a cat's balls off, but not taking out the claws?

I've never done it, but I won't allow the wife to keep a cat that refuses to use their scratching posts. We got rid of the 1st one because of this. The current one only scratches its posts.

what a bunch of pussies in this thread. I bet they say getting my dobermans ears cropped was inhumane as well.

It has nothing to do with being a "pussy", Mr. Badass. Our cat goes outside almost daily and keeps the pests/rodents at bay (the reason I agreed to a cat in the first place). I'd rather it have its claws. If you've got a good cat, it won't frick your furniture up.

Cats that are declawed tend to spray and piss all over the house.
It is inhumane to declaw a cat and I am a dog person.
You not only take away the ability to defend themselves or keep rodents and other pests away, you also are making them walk on their knuckles.
A lot of Tiger fans in here saying frick cats or they hate cats. The same ones who will fight to keep a live mascot on campus (which I would too).
Granted he's not destroying my furniture, but Mike doesn't have any need for claws, would you declaw him?

That's one of the three distinct behaviors of serial killers. OTOH, they ARE cats.

We had ours done about 4 months ago. The pain shot had her fricked up like a fat bitches dollar store flip flop, then we had to bring her back for another shot a few days later. She is just now coming around and letting us pet her again. She gets around just fine now though, jumps into my daughters closet about 4' up and sleeps on a shelve.

Just put duct tape over them.
