Pretty much.

We have some not willing to admit they work nights, weekends, and OT to get the 100k

And then we have others whose dad's lie to them, for some unknown reason.

Too funny

Brain surgeons make $100k. That's the biggest lie in this thread.

Work at a plant. The starting (84k) is more than the cap for the hospital I work at in Baton Rouge. Cap is $33 so 66k before OT.

The best part of being an Rn is the flexibility.
Part time, 3-12's

Just looked like a broad question. Hence my answer. Sounds tougher in Louisiana. They don't want to pay anybody 6 figures in LA. There are always plenty of new grads who will take less.

HCHD is basically "breathe in, breathe out. Gotta license? You're hired. " they will figure out quick if you don't know what you are doing and get rid of you.

Never said it was the norm or it is expected right out of school. Just that it is possible and can be done. And is done in Louisiana.

Haven't read the thread....male nurse here.....

Crna for 5 years......director of operations for a major staffing company for 6 years.....

Nursing is an awesome field, filled with unlimited options and earning potential....

Just came to laugh at all the poor people making fun of male nurses.....

I know 5 male nurses, just straight BSN nurses who make more than male lawyers....

But you know they are gay, have boats, kids, and wives......it's pretty cool.
