It's open, backs up pretty good around the rush hours. Had a wreck at 146/225 southbound this morning that screwed up traffic pretty good. Lot more traffic on the road too because of the I-10 closure.

But it is open both ways

146 around Kemah each afternoon is a shite show. Maybe the worst consistent traffic in the Houston area each day

Take hwy 90 to Beaumont don't mess with 146. I10 to hwy 90 exit at I610 heading east.

I think it's open. We were taking 146 up to 90 and Beltway 8 to reach the the north side of town this past summer to avoid the construction on I-10 eastbound.

What is going to be my best bet to get to the medical center area of Houston on Friday if I’m coming from Louisiana?

Probably 146 to 225 through Baytown and Deer Park. I imagine traffic is going to be nightmare.

Around 1-2 in the afternoon? Looks like it isn’t too bad on Waze currently.

I would exit College St. (Hwy 90) in Beaumont and take that all the way to I-10 in Houston.

Don't forget I10 is closed @ the San Jac bridge. Crossing over to 146 on 225 is a nightmare right now. Have fun.

They're putting 2 skinny lanes going each way on the I-10 San Jac bridge. Supposed to be finishing up this afternoon so that should help with traffic to an extent
