We did something similar (moreso making them fire all their SAMs leaving them defenseless) in Linebacker 2 against Hanoi and sites in Vietnam. That's what brought them to the table.

This statement right here tells me all I need to know. Are you really stupid enough to think the Iranians are being supplied with an obsolete version of the S-300 system? Do you have any clue how much capital Russia has tied up with Iran? Russia very much has a vested interest in ensuring the advancement of Iran on the world stage. They're not going to give Iran an out of date SAM system.
