You do realize that Aegis bought prime rate mortgage-backed securities. They then set up a commercial lending arm with the remnants of UC Lending. Then they hamstrung all the workers trying to make loans and would only buy high-quality paper so they would have marketable assets to sell. Yeah, he's very smart. UC was the original financial crisis, he was a big part of that.

This isn’t a zero sum game. It would be great if ownership and development started to take root in NBR. It’s helpful for the entire area. I hope the program is widely successful.

The group that profits if it works. As it should be.

Now it will be funny/ ironic when NBR residents start to complain that they are being priced out due to increasing property values if these types of programs start to work. The old be careful what you wish for saying.

I guess I'm just curious as to why/how someone would take a risk like this.

I think the "they didn't tell us what we were signing because we're black" scenario is much more likely.
