My father in law does that. His brain never stops thinking about things that could be done. He's always saying things like,"don't you think you oughtta....." And he doesn't get it when I just respond with "sure" and "uh huh" because I am just trying to silently watch tv or something.
Example: I'm watching tv the other day and he asked me "don't ya think you oughtta move your truck into the shade?" I just looked at him and told him I really don't care.

I have some introverted traits but I also consider myself to be sociable enough. I don't feel the need to insert myself into a conversation if I have nothing substantial to add to it and I'm not always super excited about meeting strangers but I need some social interaction to feel normal.
Can't imagine being one of those types that has a genuine social phobia. Gotta be pretty lonely.
