Article nola.comis in reference to a murder in Kenner, I know surprise, surprise, but the point here is a comment in the comment section under the article.

Well hell, before I could go back to copy and paste nola.com erased it. To sum up the person who claimed to be a teacher in New Orleans said autistic white and Asian children scored higher then, as they put it, NONSPED black children and cited the recent benchmark scores as validation.

Is that possible??

If those autistic kids have parents who care at all about their education I'd be surprised if they didn't outscore black kids who's parent doesn't give a shite.

Because standardized test scores are definitely grouped and reported by disability.

You do know autistic does not mean stupid, right? Many people with autism are brilliant.

Many of the autistic kids I know are much smarter than the general population. I've read several papers saying extreme intelligence may be one of their main issues with dealing with others.

Yea it's completely possible. The state benchmark for special ed is the same as for normal students. Parents that care can make a huge difference
