My Orleans Parish break tag has been expired since 2018. Dumb cops everywhere else have no idea what they’re looking at while nopd ain’t got no time to put up a break tag check point.

Part of the “inspection” is that they are supposed to drive the vehicle and check the brakes.
That’s why you can’t get one when it’s raining, but you still can in some places.
Seems like that would be the best time to check brakes and tires

You used to have to brake on a roller dynamometer to get an Orleans Parish brake tag, hence the name.
Can you imagine Orleans Parish doing anything that sophisticated now? You might as well compare present-day New Orleans to Berlin as to the New Orleans of 1975. Used to be a real, functioning city where people gave a shite.
