I’ve never liked the only whites can be racist content. I think racial issues cut all different directions and manifest in a variety of ways in our complex societal structures and unique situations.
On a whole I do agree I’m a lot more likely to be given the benefit of the doubt than a run of the mill average black man though. Which sucks for the people treated with suspicion instead.

So where do you live? I travel the valley and know pretty much every town in the area.
You do realize the suburbs of Hamilton County/Chattanooga are extremely white and conservative. This is also a board based about a team in Baton Rouge. Chattanooga is a massive improvement over that place.

The racism part is the only part I really have issue with, the whole redefining of the term to only include systematic racism is garbage.

If most of the crime - especially violent crime - was committed by white women, they would be treated with the same amount of suspicion.
These "studies" and race theories should've been completely undermined after the "Sokal Squared" incident but these people refuse to acknowledge that the material they base this nonsense on is in no way founded in any sorts of scientific methods.

There are school districts that won't punish black students for fighting or disrupting classes because they're trying to correct the stats that show black kids are more likely to get disciplined/suspended than other students. So while these kids get to do what they want, the rest of the school suffers. Hmmm....that almost sounds like....privilege.

Without wading too deeply into causation, I’ll echo my sentiment that it sucks for the good people treated with suspicion even when they are great individuals, and more harshly judged for commonplace issues.
You don’t seem to enjoy the some whites are racist so we must be hyper vigilant about policing all whites for it. I imagine you can likely take the next step to it not being particularly fun to be subject to that for crime, and a variety of other issues.
I’m really not being a bleeding heart here. Just acknowledging that it’s got to be frustrating for those that deal with it.
