Pineville, LA will begin selling alcohol of all ABV’s in grocery/convenience/restaurants.
It’s been along time coming, but it was finally voted on yesterday and the public chose what they wanted.

I remember when my crappy small town voted it in, the Baptist preachers thought dirty biker gangs and hookers would be roaming the town... they were literally preaching this... that if you voted for it, you should leave that particular church

It had been brought to the city council earlier this year to go to ballet, but it didn’t get the support from the council.
Super 1 and Wal-Mart paid a 3rd party company to sit in front of their stores to collect signatures to force a special vote. It passed with about 70% in favor.
The city of Pineville is pushing the aspect of keeping he tax revenue on their side of the river and out of Alexandria. I think this could mean a small economic boom for the area.
