We are foster/adopt parents. On Christmas eve 6 years ago, we got a new born baby from the hospital.
Few years later, we adopted a one year old girl on Dec 22 (3 years ago today actually)

When I was 13, I got a Winchester 22 rifle that belonged to my great grandfather and has been passed down. By lunch, I’d shot 10-15 squirrels and several birds out of trees. My parents were not too happy but I wouldn’t trade that old gun for anything.

A dozen 3.5 inch disks to load the Jack Nicklaus golf game on it. Napster, ICQ, 30 second vids from The Hun. That PC was solid gold. I found an executable that randomly moved the cursor and clicked things. Signed up for a service that paid you for time plus clicks of internet searching. Used to get a $50 check in the mail every month for all the "searching" I did.

Snowboard. I had a a trip planned the following February and went for Mardi Gras break the next 2 years and usually knew what my big gift was but it was a complete surprise and a perfect gift.
