I’ve thought about it

YMCA membership - 40 dollars
Home in storage unit - 100 dollars
Soup kitchen - free
Cell phone with tether hotspot - 70 dollars
Bus pass - 10 dollars

220 dollars a month total budget

Honestly, if you're young and single that would be a great way to save a ton of money for a few years. Why the hell did I not think of that?

In larger cities I have seen it done before.
Found a fugitive living in one.
He worked doing jobs that paid by cash to hide under the radar.

Watch out though, if you die in the storage unit and thus can’t make your payments, eventually you’ll just be auctioned off.

I would totally watch that episode of Storage Wars.

Where do you poop and shower?

Van camper cassette chemical toilet in storage unit, very small, empty it into gas station restroom toilet every couple of days, shower at health club or Y, don't ask how I know this.

No BS
Knew a man in his 60's he owned properties all over Florida & Texas. He had 35 beach front condos on Madeira Beach alone.
He had a conversion van but kept a storage unit "for a just in case scenario." The unit had a cot with a small window shaker right in front of it. He also kept a rack of cloths in it along with an old dresser.
He told me he keeps a gf so he doesn't have to sacrifice his rental properties for himself. He practically lives with gf but has the storage unit so he doesn't have to listen to any shiznit from gf providing that kicks up.
The man was no joke, he started teaching me how to invest in RE with other peoples money when I was in my twenty's. I have never met anyone like this dude. He traded everything from cars, boats, guns & RE he made deals on just paper alone. He would procure a property and everything on it without taking a look at it, it was crazy. He wore a pair of beat to death loafers that he would spray paint white when they got scuffed up and would re-glue the soles when they separated. I really admired the guy don't know if he really ever enjoyed his conquest all he ever talked about was setting his children & grand children up for when he's gone. He was dating my x-mil at the time. Never got the full benefit of being around him long term unfortunately but he was a
in a really odd way. RIP Joe

Climate controlled on public WiFi = the win
doesnt mean the AC is frosty. In many cases it's just enough to remove the humidity to protect furniture and paintings and whatever. About 80 degrees. I'd rather be in cubesmart than under the i12 at Sherwood but wow.
