You don't need to do much. Trim it every few days. Use your normal hair conditioner in the shower. Don't use aftershaves that dry your face.
The only extra product that would help if you are keeping it under 2-3 inches is Beard Oil.
Good length maintenance and general facial skin care will cover everything else.

Go check out Dan C Bearded’s YouTube channel. He has a video for every question you have regarding growing a beard.
He does product and company reviews and offers discount codes.
You can find decent stuff in drug stores/supermarkets but the small batch companies have better products imo. Beard Octane is one of the best. Oil is the one essential product you should have. Then you have balms, butters, washes, and co-washes. All serve a different purpose. Some brands better than others.
It takes a little maintenance to keep a good healthy looking beard regardless of what the hardasses here say.
