They are fine with me too. I live on property next to a national wildlife refuge. Almost half of it is conservation easement and I can't do anything with it. That's fine with me, I knew that when I bought. And I also don't want people people on my property; though I have to run off the poachers occasionally.

I do have a huge problem with the government seizing private property from existing owners by declaring it to be protected wetlands under absurd "navigable waters" laws. That is simply theft.

If half this country is going to scream at the sky over imaginary things like AGW I have no problem with a handful of people who want to do something that actually conserves the environment.

Me neither. I don't think we need to exclude people altogether from such places, though.
