It is one example of many, provided in response to those who use the stupid "cigarettes are legal, so I should be able to smoke them anywhere line". It's a dumb and faulty argument.

Guns are legal and stupid govt telling me I can't bring it on the plane. Stupid nanny state... or wait, you can bring it on you just need to check it. Kinda like how you can smoke at a bar, you just need to step outside.

That’s not the argument being made here. The argument is that a private business should be allowed to decide whether or not they are a smoke free bar.

No one is arguing this.

Private businesses should be able to allow smoking or not.

People can choose to visit smoke free or smoking establishments.

We are about to have weed shops where you can smoke inside, should that be illegal too?

Private businesses have hundreds of rules they have to follow, this is simply one of them and it's weird how it gets people so riled up.

Are you suggesting that if it were up to you you would simply dissolve OSHA? Also still waiting for an answer to the oil rig safety question.

If it were illegal I wouldn't have a problem with it. Of course if they did allow it it would be people consuming the product that the business sold, like people drinking alcohol in a bar.

Come to Missouri. It's like a Joe Dirt paradise.

Cheap gas. Cheap beer. Smoke in bars. Real Rock radio and mullets.

Way too many

We have far too many rules and regulations as it is. People are terrified of their own fricking shadow.

But they want Big Bro to protect them from themselves, because they have no common sense.

Name a single person who got killed by 2nd hand smoke because they were forced to work in a bar that permitted smoking.

Why? I never suggested they did.

But they do get health related issues.

Right, but the point is that this is not the first and only rule bars have to follow as private businesses.

Sweet.

Why should the gov get involved in sex traffickers?

Let the market decide.
