Lady drowned right in front of us in Rosemary Beach earlier. They worked on her for 20 minutes and got a pulse at end but she was without it for a good 10-15. If you pray, perhaps send one up for this lady. She and her teenaged daughter were playing on a sandbar (not far out at all) and the riptide pulled her under.

Finally changed the flags from red to double red afterwards. Got here Saturday and since Monday the water has been extremely rough. If you're coming this way be cautious, sandbars will give an incredibly false sense of safety.

I'll be there Friday but I think most of the rain will be in LA by then.

A rip current forms when two longshore currents, which run parallel to shore, run towards each other, then collide and head away from the shore out to sea, perpendicular to the shoreline.

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you're singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat 'cause
You're gonna sing the words wrong
