Say you get arrested for something you didn't do and get sent to prison. Then you escape. Then you get exonerated on the original charge. Can you still go to jail (or back to jail) since you escaped?

Escaping while being held for trial is a crime, regardless of your guilt or innocence. However, being innocent of the underlying offense is certainly a mitigating factor in determining the punishment for your escape.

Long story short, scrooge mcduck was pickling up a painting from glungold but gljngold slipped him another painting and claimed Scrooge stole it and Scrooge gets sent to aquatraz. Meanwhile, Huey, duey, and Louie uncover some evidence that exonerates Scrooge. Well scrooge's cell mate decides to bust out of aquatraz and take Scrooge with him. They make it to a deserted island when police choppers show up. Scrooge thinks he's headed back to jail but it's the warden there telling him the good news that he's been cleared and is free to go.
That just didn't sit right with me. There would have to at least be some sort of hearing, right?

And get this! Turns out Scrooge's cell mate was ALSO framed by glungold.
