30a stickers all over shreveport.

I have been to 30a almost every year since I was born (actually, since two months before I was born)

Would never put on my car.

Bunch of people trying to flaunt money they dont have

I'm an engineer, my wife is a lawyer, we own a condo on 30A and my wife has one. She just loves 30A. We make it down four or five times a year for a nice vacation She isn't trying to flaunt anything or she wouldn't have her Libertarian sticker. Hell, when our son is in school she'll probably have one of those parent of "name this" stickers too.

Just because you wouldn't put one on your car doesn't mean that anyone who does is trying to flaunt anything. I wouldn't put one on my car either but I don't fault her for doing it.

You've never been on 30A, have you? It used to be called that but rednecks have been priced out... quite some time ago, actually.

You are beyond help if you think a 30A sticker means you have a big dick.

I love 30a, but I don't want a sticker on my car.

It's all still uppity rednecks. Don't kid yourself. Hell, and it's just barely uppity in reality.

I like the place. I'm not putting it down, but it's still pretty much all Louisiana, Bama, Georgia folks.

It's the highway connecting the eastern side of Destin down to Panama City and down below.

It's mostly a nicer area away from chains, shitty restaurants, crap condos. Nice houses and low density condos.

Lots of people from La vacation down there and put stickers on their car and as you can see, this pisses a lot of people off. Some will spend a whole afternoon bitching about it on this board.

I'm cool with anywhere from Orange Beach to Destin, but don't feel like paying the prices for 30A and I don't care much either way if people want to have the stickers.

Those that talk shite about 30A are the young kids that probably have never been there and won't be allowed.
Spot on. 30A is a very exclusive vacation destination.

Let's not get carried away now. It's not like it's the Hamptons or the nursing places for people with money down in south Florida.

Ever been down there this time of the year? I'm from Ohio and I can say, without debate, that people from the north invade it in the winter months.

Any time that we're down there, there are a lot of people from LA, AL and GA. Most of those GA people are from the Atlanta metro, not at all redneck. You also see plates from just about anywhere else in the country. Poor rednecks can't afford the prices of food there, let alone condos or houses. When we aren't there, our two bedroom condo rents for $2,500 a week during peak season and anywhere from $1,000 to $1,800 a week when it's not peak season.

I just got back.

ETA, By "redneck", I don't mean you have to live in a trailer park.

It's obviously not, but it's certainly far more upscale than Panama City or Daytona Beach.

I'll be there in two weeks. I'm glad that Seagrove Village Market has opened back up. Missed it the last few times.
