This is about a serious injury so this story may not be up your alley…
quote:

Woman runs over husband twice because of a bowling ball and a purse snatcher

A woman in Kansas City, Mo., accidentally ran over her husband — twice — when he crawled under their car in an attempt to dislodge a bowling ball. .. the man and woman, both 25, were driving Saturday afternoon in central Kansas City, with the woman at the wheel, when they crossed paths with a bowling ball rolling down the street.
The ball got jammed beneath the car. So the man got out and crawled under the car in an attempt to pry it free.
At that moment, a suspect approached the car and reached inside for the woman's purse, which was in the front seat next to her. She engaged in a tug-of-war with the assailant. And that's when her foot hit the gas pedal.
And that's when she ran over her husband. When she heard him yell, she put the car in reverse and rolled over him again.

"You said you were going to cut down on unnecessary expenses -- and then go out and buy yourself a bowling ball. You call a bowling ball a necessary expense?"

"I certainly do. I'd like to see you bowl without one."

I love how it's in the "autos" category. Like, I was wondering what the new BRZ did in the quarter mile, but also this.

I’m guessing the husband will have a high handicap going forward.

I was an eye witness to a similar event a long time ago. Several frat boys were on hood of a car traveling at walking speed past LSU Sorority Row on University Lake. One slipped off and was rolled over as the driver could not see him. Of course he realized he hit something and everyone shouted. In a panic he then backed over the guy.

My wife, then gf, hit me with her car (accidentally) and popped me up in the air. Luckily my superior athleticism dictated that I land on my feet.

We were at a red light and I hopped out the passenger side to go get in my friend's car who was to our left. My wife was going somewhere else so I jumped in with him. As I'm crossing in front of her car, the light turned green and off she went. The front left corner of the car hit me in the thigh basically and I jumped at the same time. I caught some nice air and landed it squarely. I'd say 9.8-9.9 range, possibly 10.0 based on judges.
