People are shitting on your post, but I get it.

There was a time when I had an abundance of sympathy for the homeless population....those days are gone.

Too many of these people are on the streets by CHOICE (I know this first hand).

Also, panhandlers have become far too agressive/violent and spent any good will they might otherwise have coming their way.

For the Veterans who are legit dealing with problems, my heart goes out.

To the rest, eh, not so much.

What kind of weirdo thinks about shite like this?

OP worded it weirdly but the gist of the question is interesting. The question isn't really related to being cruel to the homeless. It's a question about society.

If all 600,000 (I'd guess a good bit more than this, personally) homeless in the USA were all whisked away to a country on the other side of the world such as Australia, how long would it take for the homeless population to go from 0 to 600,000 again in modern America?

I think it would happen rather quickly, unfortunately.

m more curious about the homeless number questions and how long it would take to get similar numbers again.

First, look at how many homeless there are. Then look at how many people become homeless in a year. Lastly, look at how many people either die homeless or get themselves out of homelessness in an average year.

This actually shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
