You don't believe in the flood despite scientific evidence that a worldwide deluge occurred near the end of the last Ice Age?

You should take a break from the internet.

I don't think I should. This board is in desperate need of creative and thoughtful threads

I am pretty sure that whoever that person is, would not actively hated by half of their country. I don't think her being resuscitated is going to change that.
Almost every large figure is hated by half the country... There's very few unanimously loved people in the spotlight. The country is simply that split.

The last leader to almost be unanimously loved was President Bush immediately following 9/11. America emerged from that nightmare a unified country and would've remained unified had the majority of Democrats who supported Bush following 9/11 not polarized the next presidential election with partisan, divisive, hateful rhetoric toward the president they unanimously supported just a few years earlier.
They knew Bush was a decent man. Yet it didn't take long for them to create the conspiracy laden narrative that Bush was actual evil and likely responsible for 9/11.
Lies upon lies to destroy a good man at the expense of American unity - a precious rarity.
Now, just 15 years later we're more divided than we've ever been.
Ironic, huh, that we have to look to incredible tragedy for American unity and brotherly love rather than expect it as a way of life - as an American right.
But that's modern politics. Division.

Please, when are people going to refrain from listening to those who have missed the mark countless times. In Old Testament days a prophet had no margin for error, error resulted in death by stoning. Today, an excuse, another grab for monies. The only thing we know that is crystal clear is Christ will return.

I actually agree with that post. Great response.

We are also to remain ready and expectant are we not?
(Lord forgive me he knows I ain't ready)

If Christ already returned and his 1,000 year realm on Earth has come and gone...what else should we expect to come?
Posted on 9/13/16 at 9:02 pm to mizzoukills
There is no if. When he comes back, everyone will know it, including those who are asleep or "dead"

Yes, live our lives which bring Him glory which in turn glorifies God. This incessant drumbeat of some reading into things and making unfounded predictions is not what He commissioned us to do.

True, He did ascend to the Father and return, as He told Mary not to cling, but that is not the second coming as most opine
Posted on 9/13/16 at 9:15 pm to mizzoukills
Why do you assume 1000 to be literal when so much other is symbolic in matters of prophecy?

We will know neither the hour or the day.
